Other Wise, a novel, revealed

Dear friends of this blog, here it is: the cover of my novel, Other Wise, first in a series.

Years of exploring process. Years of starts and stops. Years of living with these characters in my head. And now this: a real book I can hold in my hands — you can hold in your hands — in a very short while.

The official book launch hosted by RiverRun Bookstore is October 14, 2018 (my birthday!). I hope you’ll mark it on your calendars (preferably right now) and join me in Portsmouth, NH, late on a Sunday afternoon in the Fall (venue & time tba). I will read. We can chat. I won’t embarrass you with my happy dance, but trust that it is ongoing.

We are writers and artists and makers with stories to tell and artworks to share and comforts to offer. We solitary creatives spend hours alone at our work, yet we are companions on this path. We are community. And we get to come out and mingle now and then.

… sometimes we even get to party!

Blessings, MLB

“… you make me feel like dancing!”

I was the first read for Other Wise, I fully enjoyed every word. I saw first hand the blood, sweat, and tears that went into this novel and recommend it to anyone male or female.

Oh Mary Lou, I love the cover photo…an invitation to look inside this worn shingled Maine house! Can’t wait to meet more of the characters. I’ll be there on your Birth Day for the reading!

sending love and congratulations on the birth of your book,
    Sally

Beautiful cover, Marylou! And ditto your website. I love the text fields moving in from of the shabbly shingled wall. Will look further for the book itself.

Thank you, Susie. I understand about such decisions! But either way, you will get to curl up with it sooner or later. Just received a lovely note from a reader who just finished it. She wants to spend more time with Margaret — music to an author’s ears. Especially since book two is in progress!
